Two trays, 14 cubes each, with a lid that does two jobs: it stops water slopping across the freezer shelf on the way in, and it keeps the finished ice from taking on the smell of whatever else is in there.
The base flexes, so a cube pops out with a push from underneath instead of the usual twist-and-scatter across the kitchen floor. Each compartment is separate, which means you can take one cube without cracking the whole tray.
